National Rollout of KEYS2DRIVE
The national rollout of keys2drive - an innovative driver education program which will provide up to 200,000 free driving lessons to learner drivers and their parents - has begun. A young person is at greater risk of being involved in a fatal car accident than drivers from any other age group, with nearly a third of people killed on Australian roads aged 16 to 25. The program is a practical way of equipping young people with the skills they need for a lifetime of safer driving.

Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan supporting construction jobs in Sydney's south-west. Southern Cross Care operates 15 residential care services, two 'Extended Aged Care at Home' (EACH) services and three community care services in South Australia. Southern Cross Care has continued the tradition of `The Pines' being a centre for community care and support since purchasing the property and developing aged care services there in the 1970s.

'Last year we appointed well known Australian actress Noeline Brown as our Ageing Ambassador to help promote positive ageing and social inclusion for our older Australians,' Minister Elliot said. 'According to the 2006 Census, Adelaide has almost 161,000 residents aged 65 years and older that is more than 15 per cent of its population.
